The 2012 Jersey Annual Social Survey was launched on Thursday 24 May. A random sample of 4,200 households in Jersey received a survey form through the post.
The Statistics Unit have so far received an excellent response from the public, but would like to encourage all those households who have not yet returned their survey to do so.
Every household which takes part represents not only themselves but other households like them. All responses are treated in the strictest confidence.
JASS is run independently by the Statistics Unit, on behalf of other States Departments. It is designed to find out what residents think about a wide variety of topics including:
- inward migration
- housing needs
- discrimination
- parking in town
- other public services
The results of the survey are used by government to inform decision-making, planning and developing public services.
