The Treasury Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf, has published the following statement:
"Following this morning's Scrutiny meeting I would like to release the following summary of Comprehensive Spending Review proposals.
"As you can see, we will have delivered almost £57 million of savings by 2013. Around £7 million of the savings proposals from Education, Sport and Culture were not approved by the States, following the debate on grants to fee paying schools.
"This would have meant a revised savings target of £58 million. However Education, Sport and Culture have brought forward compensating savings of £2.8 million and Social Security have brought forward further savings proposals within the Medium Term Financial Plan, amounting to £3 million.
"The schedule below summarises the proposals from departments to deliver their share of CSR savings in 2013."
