At 10.25 Tuesday 15 May a fire appliance and 5 firefighters were dispatched to a car that was well alight outside a property in Saville Street, St Helier.
The Fire Service was in attendance in a few minutes and the blaze was quickly brought under control using high pressure hosereels. Due to the location of the vehicle and the proximity of properties and other cars the incident could have easily escalated.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the States of Jersey Police.
