The visit will be the first since being elected as Manx leader in October 2011. He will be accompanied by the Isle of Man Treasury Minister, Hon Eddie Teare MHK.
They will be met by Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst; Assistant Chief Minister, Senator Sir Philip Bailhache and Treasury Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf. It is expected that discussions will focus on areas of mutual interest and opportunities for both jurisdictions to work more closely together.
Senator Gorst said “There are a number of points of common interest between our 2 governments and this visit will present the opportunity for us to discuss these matters in more detail. As fellow members of the British Irish Council, Jersey and the Isle of Man enjoy a positive dialogue. I look forward to continuing to build on this relationship.”
The Manx delegation will also visit the States Assembly at the end of the States sitting 29 May where they will join all States Members at a reception hosted by the Bailiff, Mr Michael Birt. They will leave Jersey on Wednesday 30 May.
