The Premier of the Cayman Islands, the Honorable Alden McLaughlin, will visit Jersey on 12 September 2013. He will be accompanied by the Caymanian Minister of Financial Services, Commerce and Environment, the Honorable Wayne Panton.
During their visit, Premier McLaughlin’s party will meet the Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst; the Treasury Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf; and the Economic Development Minister, Senator Alan Maclean. They will also attend meetings with representatives of the finance industry.
Senator Gorst commented "I look forward to welcoming Premier McLaughlin to Jersey. The visit will be an opportunity for the Premier and the Financial Services Minister to learn more about Jersey’s history and heritage, as well as discussing areas of mutual interest such as financial services and economic diversification.”
An official dinner for the Premier and his party will be hosted by the Bailiff, Sir Michael Birt.
