Record numbers for university fair

A record number of universities will be coming to Jersey next week to attend the annual Higher Education Fair, including representatives from a US university for the first time.

 

Staff from South Florida University will be among the 69 institutions taking part at the event at Hautlieu School on Thursday 7 March. The Fair, which is now in its 21st year, is sponsored for the fourth time by Capita Fiduciary Group.

 

Jeremy Field, Education Liaison Manager at Careers Jersey, said “We are delighted to welcome representatives from a very broad range of universities. The majority are from the UK but we also have some from Australia, New Zealand and the USA. The HE Fair is an invaluable source of information because it brings staff from so many universities to the Island and gives our students an opportunity to find out what is on offer.”

Before and after the Fair, university representatives will be visiting most of the secondary schools to talk to students aged 14 and over and will lead interactive workshops aimed at encouraging them to think about Higher Education and the options available.

The Higher Education Fair will take place at Hautlieu School on Thursday 7 March from 1.30pm – 6.30 pm. Entry is free. All welcome.
