You have just one more week to tell the Island’s Environment Department what you think of the planning appeals process.
A consultation on the current system closes on Friday 26 April. The Green Paper asks Islanders for their views on both the principles and the practicalities of the planning appeals system and if they might be better arranged.
If you want to make a submission you can write to or email the department, and / or complete a short online survey.
In due course the Department of the Environment will bring forward detailed proposals for improving the appeals process. These will take account of responses to the Green Paper, and a recent decision by the States Assembly to introduce an independent planning appeals tribunal.
The department wants as many contributions from Islanders as possible. The deadline for comments is Friday 26 April.
