There were 2,030 people registered as actively seeking work (ASW) in February 2013.
The latest report shows that:
- on 28 February 2013, on a seasonally adjusted basis, the total number of people registered as actively seeking work (ASW) in Jersey was 60 higher than a month earlier (January 2013) and the same as the average for the preceding three months
- the non-seasonally adjusted ASW total was 2,030. This latest monthly total is 10 higher than a month earlier (January 2013), 210 higher than that of a year earlier (February 2012) and at the highest level recorded to date
- long-term unemployment (registered for more than 52 weeks) now accounts for more than a sixth of total ASW and was at the highest level recorded to date
- 320 teenagers aged 16-19 years were registered as ASW. 120 teenagers were on the Advance to Work scheme
