An award-winning children's author will be launching her latest book, The Man In The Water, at Jersey Library on Saturday 20 September 2014.
Ali Sparkes has written more than 38 books for children, including Frozen In Time which won the Blue Peter Award. The Man In The Water features a family on holiday in Jersey and is her first ghost story.
Money from sales of the book will go to the Southampton Friends of PICU charity. It raises funds for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton General Hospital, which serves children and teenagers across the south of England and the Channel Islands.
On Saturday 20 September Ali will be giving a short presentation. She will introduce the Maguire family on whom the story is based. This will be followed by book signing and an opportunity to talk to the author.
The book launch takes place at 11 am on 20 September 2014.
