Island businesses, schools and individuals have signed up to take part in an Island-wide initiative to clean up 13 of Jersey’s beaches this weekend.
One beach clean will even take place underwater – thanks to volunteers at the Bouley Bay Dive Centre.
The States Eco-Active programme is encouraging as many people as possible to join the Island Wide Beach Clean this coming Sunday 21 September between 12 and 2 pm as part of a national campaign.
There’s still time for people to get involved. Anyone that still wants to join in can either choose to join an organised beach clean, or choose their favourite beach and pick up any litter they find. (Please weigh your litter and report the weight and location to eco-active@gov.je
The Island Wide Beach Clean is a partnership between Eco-Active, the Marine Conservation Society and local charity Littlefeet Environmental.
