Two people were rescued from the area near Seymour Tower on New Year's Eve.
The man and woman, who had been reported missing off Jersey's southeast coast, faced a rapidly rising tide and strong winds but managed to make their way to the relative safety of the refuge tower about halfway between the shore and Seymour Tower.
Jersey Fire and Rescue's inshore rescue boat was launched from Seymour slipway at about 2.30pm and rescued the pair, who had started suffering from exposure but were uninjured.
