Final plans for the village improvement scheme in St Mary have now been presented to parishioners.
Following a consultation with parishioners led by the community-based St Mary’s Village Improvement Board, Transport and Technical Services has found out the issues that local residents want to be addressed.
As a result, infrastructure improvement plans include a footpath, village entry markings and traffic calming features – particularly outside the school – clearer junctions and a central road feature on the junction of Rue de L’Eglise and Route de Ste Marie.
Construction work will start in the new year and will continue for five or six months, depending on the weather.
Plans will be available to view at St Mary’s Parish Hall, St Mary’s Country Inn, TTS offices at South Hill and the car park offices at Sand Street.
