Additional bus services will be added to the LibertyBus timetable from 14 April.
LibertyBus and Transport and Technical Services Minister, Deputy Kevin Lewis, have also brought forward the following changes ahead of the summer timetable which will start in April.
- service 4 – St Helier to Trinity. Daytime buses now call at Durrell after Bouley Bay on their inbound trip to St Helier.
- service 8 – St Helier to St Ouen. Revised timetable with daytime extension to serve Living Legend. Additional departures, and changes to departure times.
- service 9 – St Helier to Greve de Lecq. Daytime journeys from St Helier re-timed to 10 minutes past the hour, with an additional departure at 18:05.
- service 12/12A – St Helier to Corbiere and St Ouen’s Bay. New combined 30 minute frequency with daytime Corbiere buses extended to Greve de Lecq.
- service 28 – St Helier to La Mare Wine Estate. Reintroduced for 2014, with additional departures on the St Helier to Living Legend section.
Minor timing changes are also being made to selected journeys on other services, to ensure that buses maintain a high level of punctuality to meet passenger demand.
Deputy Lewis said “Jersey has benefited from its best ever winter bus frequencies, and I am really pleased that LibertyBus are committed to continually developing the Jersey public transport network and providing a comprehensive level of services across the Island. I am sure that both residents and visitors will benefit from these changes and that the additional journeys being proposed will be well used.
“I want to encourage members of the public to contact LibertyBus over the next week with their comments on these proposals, and I am confident that all feedback received will be valuable in shaping the future of the network.”
A public notice summarising the proposed changes to bus services will be published in the Jersey Gazette section of the Jersey Evening Post on Monday 17 March.
A detailed timetable will be available for download from the LibertyBus website on the same day.
