The Economic Development Department has announced a series of public meetings about the incorporation of the ports of Jersey.
The plans to incorporate the ports of Jersey are the subject of a public consultation which is open until 15 August 2014.
The consultation has received a number of responses - most have been positive. Islanders can comment via email and post, and can also give their views and find out more about the ports incorporation at one of four public meetings.
- Wednesday, 25 June 2014, Albert terminal, gate 1, 7-9pm
- Wednesday, 2 July 2014, Airport arrivals hall, 7-9pm
- Wednesday 23 July 2014, Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society, Trinity, 7-9pm
- Wednesday, 6 August 2014, Albert terminal, gate 1, 7-9pm
Economic Development Minister, Senator Alan Maclean, said "Ports of Jersey have done a tremendous amount of work in informing and engaging those likely to be directly affected by the incorporation, and I believe this is reflected in the responses that have been made to the consultation so far.
"I hope that everybody who has an interest in the incorporation of the ports will respond to the consultation so that their views can be taken into consideration."
Ports of Jersey representatives will also be offering separate meetings to address specific elements of the incorporation that might be of interest to their business partners, clubs, associations or societies.
