Festoon lighting being replaced

The festoon lighting along three promenades is to be replaced.

The lighting will be replaced along:

• Havre des Pas
• St Aubin’s Bay
• St Brelade’s Bay

The current lights, which had a warrantied life of two years, are five years old and the cost of maintaining them is increasing. Since their installation the LED lamps have reduced electricity usage by 60%.

Transport and Technical Services (TTS) will start replacing the lights in July or August, working on a section at a time. The new lights, which cost just under £79,000 will look the same but, because of improved technology, are more durable.
