Parking will be free on Liberation Day and LibertyBus will be operating a normal Saturday service.
Islanders can park free of charge in Transport and Technical Services administered car parks and on-street parking spaces on 9 May.
Minister for Transport and Technical Services, Deputy Eddie Noel, said “I have received several queries regarding parking and the bus service on Liberation Day. The fact that Liberation Day falls on a Saturday this year won’t make any difference and it will still be treated like a normal Bank Holiday and there will be free parking. LibertyBus has, however, confirmed they will be maintaining their normal Saturday services to support those wishing to travel to the celebrations.”
