The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is making 10 four-digit car registration numbers available to purchase from Tuesday 22 March.
This limited number of four-digit registrations, which are normally only released at auctions, are available from DVS and can be searched and applied for on the States website.
Keeping, exchanging or reserving registration numbers
They are priced at £2,500. This is in addition to the five and six digit numbers that are always available for purchase at £250.
The 10 four digit numbers are
J1265 J1369
J2746 J3196
J4031 J5389
J6018 J7604
J8026 J9346
There will still be an annual auction for special plates, which this year will be held on Saturday 11 June at Highlands College. Lots will include a selection of JSY, 3 and 4 digit numbers along with other interesting registration numbers.
Deputy Eddie Noel, Minister for Infrastructure, said “We have seen from the auctions that there are people who are keen to have, four digit number plates. We have decided to make ten of these numbers available over the counter or by online reservation, for those people who are not comfortable with auctions. The income from these sales will go towards sustainable transport projects.”
