The Swiss Ambassador to the UK, His Excellency Mr Dominik Furgler, will visit Jersey on 28 and 29 September 2016.
During his visit, the Ambassador will meet the Bailiff, Mr William Bailhache, the Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, and the Minister for External Relations, Senator Sir Philip Bailhache, as well as other ministers.
The Ambassador’s visit follows the signing earlier this year of a joint declaration between Jersey and Switzerland on the introduction of the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) in tax matters on a reciprocal basis.
Senator Bailhache commented “I look forward to welcoming the Ambassador to Jersey and to discussing matters of mutual interest. I also hope that the Ambassador will have the opportunity to learn more about Jersey’s culture and history during his stay.”
Mr Furgler will visit La Hougue Bie and Durrell Wildlife Park, and will be the guest of honour at a dinner hosted by the Bailiff.
