Roads on Rue des Prés Trading Estate could become main roads if changes to the law are approved.
The Trading Estate has been experiencing traffic and parking problems, but as the roads are neither Parish nor main roads, they cannot be properly policed.
On 18 April 2016, the Minister for Infrastructure decided to seek a law change to designate the roads at Rue des Prés Trading Estate as ‘main roads’.
This new designation will give the Department for Infrastructure an opportunity to work with businesses to find a solution to the parking issues and improve the accessibility of the area for users.
The necessary legislation is currently being prepared and when ready will go to the States for approval.
