The States of Jersey Statistics Unit launches the 2016 Jersey Opinions and Lifestyle Survey (JOLS).
Over the next few days around 3,200 randomly selected households will receive a letter through the post inviting them to take part.
The survey has been running since 2005, and provides important information for government to use in decision-making and developing and planning public services.
This year the questionnaire covers topics such as childcare, maternity leave, attitudes towards mental health and participation in heritage in Jersey.
Commenting on the survey Dr Duncan Gibaut, Chief Statistician for Jersey, said: “The annual survey is an invaluable source of information for developing evidence-based policy. This year we have provided an option for households to respond online, and I’d like to encourage everyone who receives a letter to take part.
“We have had a very good response in previous years, and from this we know that people found that the topics were relevant to their lives.
“I would like to reassure everyone that all responses to the survey will be treated in the strictest confidence and will only be used to produce grouped numbers. So if you do receive a letter please take part. By doing so you’ll help us all gain a better understanding of islander’s opinions and way of life.”

You will need to enter your unique reference code that was sent to your address by the Statistics Unit.
