17 October 2017
The Department for Infrastructure will start the final stage of its project to resurface St Saviour’s Road on 23 October 2017, to coincide with the beginning of the autumn half-term holiday.
The work will start with the closure of St Saviour’s Road between Stopford Road and Wellington Road on weekdays between 9.15am and 6pm.
The work will complete road safety improvements at the bottom of Wellington Road and will also incorporate further vehicle speed-reduction measures.
The resurfacing should be complete by 27 October 2017. However, the work is dependent on dry weather.
Southbound traffic will be diverted through town at St Mark’s Road. Northbound traffic will be unaffected.
The exit from Wellington Road to St Saviour’s Road will remain open but access to Wellington Road will only be possible from Bagatelle Road.
Current information on work location and traffic management is available online at the St Saviour's Road resurfacing project webpage.
