30 May 2017
The Taxes Office is temporarily reducing the opening hours of its help desk so that some staff can focus on processing and assessing tax returns.
The demand for face-to-face enquiries reduces considerably after the end of May tax return deadline. The new opening hours will start on Monday 5 June until Friday 29 September 2017 and will be as follows
Monday – Closed
Tuesday – Closed
Wednesday – 9am to 2pm
Thursday – 9am to 2pm
Friday – 9am to 2pm
Taxpayers can contact the Taxes Office on weekdays from 9am to 5pm by telephone or email. There are also self-service kiosks in Cyril Le Marquand House, where information and online services can be accessed, including online payments.
Comptroller of Taxes, Richard Summersgill, said “Taxpayers will still be able to see us with any face-to-face enquiries during the reduced hours. The lunch hour remains our busiest time and we will aim to provide more support during that period on the days we are open.”
The Taxes Office help desk will go back to its normal opening hours (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) on the 2 October 2017.
