Work to refurbish the units that will house the catering function for Jersey General Hospital is expected to begin in mid-May.
After an application (P/2017/1522) to make changes to the units at St Peter’s Industrial Park were passed by Jersey’s Planning Committee last week, a Ministerial Decision has been signed regarding the appointment of a contractor. Camerons Ltd has been appointed following a competitive tender process, and the company is now preparing to start work on the project, anticipated to take nine months.
Prior to starting work, the Future Hospital team and Camerons have committed to engage with local residents – letters have been sent to those living near the industrial park providing details of this engagement process and giving contact details for residents with any queries or concerns.
