Resurfacing work on West Park Roundabout and the eastern end of Victoria Avenue is due to start on Saturday 15 September. The work will also include the short link road between the roundabout and the Esplanade.
This project is a continuation of Growth, Housing and Environment’s resurfacing programme. Although it will be disruptive for people travelling along these roads, the work is much needed as the roundabout was last resurfaced thirty-four years ago. Main diversion routes will be via First Tower Link Road, Victoria Avenue and Pierson Road.
The work will be undertaken after the busier school summer holiday period and before the super-triathlon, which is scheduled for 30 September.
The work schedule takes into account the heavy use of the road during weekdays. The Roundabout, link road and the eastern end of the inside lane of Victoria Avenue will be closed as follows:

On both weekends the roundabout, link road and inside lane of Victoria Avenue will be closed from 8am on Saturday until 11pm on Sunday.
Outbound and inbound buses will all be diverted via First Tower and Victoria Avenue. The bus-stops between West Park Roundabout and First Tower will all be suspended during the road closure hours.
Access to premises along St. Aubin’s Inner Road will be maintained, however this will only be possible via First Tower.
