Motorists are being reminded that Rouge Bouillon roadworks are scheduled to begin this Sunday, 27 October.
The road between Queen’s Road roundabout and the junction with Val Plaisant will be completely closed to all traffic until Sunday, 3 November. Diversions will be in place for eight days and motorists are asked to plan alternative routes to avoid the area.
Highway Maintenance Manager, Rob Cabot said: “We thank the public for their co-operation during these important works whilst we repair the surface of this busy traffic route. The resurfacing will improve the road which has been found to be in urgent need of repair. The resurfacing project is taking place over the autumn half term with the aim of minimising the impact on residents, students and parents in the area.”
The route will be accessible for pedestrians but cyclists will have to dismount and use the footpath.
Up to date information on the progress of the work will be available on the Government of Jersey roadworks page. Information on changes to the bus service will be available at, libertybus.je or phone the information desk on 01534 828555.
