Recycling open this Bank Holiday

Growth, Housing and Environment recently changed the opening hours for the household recycling sites following research into how customers were using the facilities and when they wanted the sites to be open.

The research showed that customers wanted the facilities to be open longer over the weekend, when the majority used them. Both sites are now open 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays and will be opening on some Bank Holidays, the first being this Monday, 26 August.

Emma Richardson-Calladine, Recycling Manager, said: “To increase recycling, recycling has to be easy and we hope that by increasing our weekend opening and opening on some bank holidays, it will be easier for our customers to use our facilities at La Collette. 

 

“Our Household Reuse and Recycling Centre and Household Green Waste Reception at La Collette will be open 9am to 5pm this Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, and we look forward to seeing you.”
