From Monday 4 November 2019, La Collette will open an hour earlier on Mondays at 9am instead of 10am.
Growth, Housing and Environment has changed the opening times based on customer feedback on opening times which were introduced in June.
From 4 November, the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre and Household Green Waste Reception will be open 9am to 7pm Monday and 9am to 4pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 9am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. The sites are closed on Wednesday.
Emma Richardson-Calladine, Recycling Manager, said: “We are listening to the feedback we’re receiving and will continue to review our site opening times so that customers find it easy to reuse and recycle.
“We hope that by opening our household recycling sites at La Collette at 9am on Monday, it will ensure our opening times are consistent and more accessible for our customers.”
La Collette is now able to accept metal recycling, following the opening of the purpose-built metal recycling centre on Monday 21 October and the closure of the old scrapyard at Bellozanne.
