The public are being reminded that Five Oaks roundabout will be closed for the next two weekends.
Due to the recently laid top surface being faulty and needing to be replaced the roundabout will close to traffic from all directions from 1pm Saturday, 11 January to 9pm Sunday, 12 January and the same times the following weekend on the 18 and 19 January.
Highway Maintenance Manager, Rob Cabot said: “We appreciate that this closure will cause disruption for Islanders, but we work to specifications which need to be met. The costs will not be met by Government, but by our contractor who we have worked with to determine the cause and what can be learned to reduce the chance of it happening again. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.”
Road users are advised to follow the diversions in place to avoid the area and more information can be found on gov.je/roadworks.
