Highway Maintenance Manager Rob Cabot said: “This next stage of works covers an area which is heavily used by traffic flowing to and from the east of the Island. Whilst we understand this work will cause some disruption for Islanders, we hope that by completing it during half term it will reduce the impact for school commutes.”
Motorists are asked to observe the diversions and follow instructions from workers posted at diversion points. The resurfacing project has been phased so that the contractor can work as efficiently as possible.
Resurfacing of the Coast road is scheduled to be completed on Monday, 24 and Tuesday, 25 February between 9am – 6pm, weather permitting.
