10 February 2020
Members of the public are invited to drop -in events to meet the teams working on planned road maintenance at Rouge Bouillon.
Two events are taking place:
- Tuesday 11 February in the foyer at the General Hospital, The Parade between 7.30am and 2pm and 5pm to 8pm
- Wednesday 12 February at the Savoy Hotel between 2pm and 8pm
Rouge Bouillon, between Queen’s Road and the junction with Saville Street and Parade Road, will be closed for work by Jersey Water and Jersey Electricity this February half term and Easter school holidays. Government of Jersey resurfacing work will follow on in the October half term 2020.
The works are planned during the school holidays to minimise impact on drivers. Motorists and residents are invited to the drop-in sessions to find out about how the works might affect their journeys.
Roadworks and Events Manager Warwick Vogt said: “We have been working closely with Jersey Water and Jersey Electricity on their plans for the area and worked together to schedule works that are least disruptive to the public. We hope the drop-in sessions will offer helpful information for those interested in our work and how the planned closure of the road will affect the surrounding areas.”
The public can attend the drop-in events for free and meet with officers from Jersey Water, Jersey Electricity and Growth, Housing and Environment.
