A vomiting bug is affecting pupils and staff at Grouville Primary School, leading to the closure of one Reception classroom and the instigation of a programme of deep cleaning.
More than half of the Reception children are off sick, as well as a small number of adults. Cleaners are conducting a deep clean on the Reception classrooms.
The school has been working closely with Infection Control and is asking parents to keep children at home if they are showing signs of having contracted the illness.
Although it has not been confirmed to be norovirus, parents have been asked to keep children off school for 48 hours from the last episode to prevent further spread of infection and to follow the advice here.
