The Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Richard Renouf, has welcomed the results of the expanded second round of the
community antibody testing programme, which were published today.
Round two of the antibody testing programme expanded the number of participants from 438 households to 629 households. It suggests that that an estimated 4.2% of Islanders (approximately 4,500 people) have come into contact with COVID-19.
Of those who tested positive for antibodies, 62% had not experienced any symptoms.
The Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Richard Renouf, said: “I’d like to thank the Islanders who responded to the call for testing.
“The results of this expanded testing round of testing have given us much more information about how COVID-19 has spread in Jersey, and how it has impacted on Islanders.”
