Statement from the Department of Children, Young People, Education and Skills
“We have been advised that there has been a confirmed positive case of Covid-19 in a child who attends Plat Douet Primary School.
“All parents have been informed and the children in the class bubble and after-school bubble are required to self-isolate. They will be tested at days five and eight, subject to parental or carer consent.
“The school will be disinfected and will open as usual after half-term, following advice from Environmental and Public Health.
“To protect the identity of this child and to respect the family’s privacy, we are unable to comment any further.”
