Students considering studying abroad are encouraged to attend an event next week to speak to representatives from colleges and universities across the world.
Staff from higher education institutions from the US, Canada, Netherlands and Europe will be at the event on Tuesday evening to deliver presentations and speak to students and parents.
The education liaison manager for Skills Jersey, Jeremy Field, said: “Skills Jersey is delighted to host the event and welcome David Hawkins, known as ‘the University Guy’, to the Island. He has gathered a team of higher education representatives from Europe and further afield. There are so many reasons that undergraduates study abroad, which is why this is such a fantastic opportunity to get face-to-face with knowledgeable representatives and ask those important questions.”
Institutions attending:
- ESCP Europe (Campuses in Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid, Turin, and Warsaw)
- Sommet Education (Glion and Les Roches), Switzerland
- University College Roosevelt (The Netherlands)
- University of Gibraltar
- Bishops University (Canada)
- University of Akron (USA)
- Transylvania University (USA)
- Kettering University (USA)
Students who study abroad can apply for funding from Student Finance. More information is available in the Higher Education Funding booklet.
The ‘Considering studying abroad?’ event is on Tuesday at Beaulieu Convent School from 6.30pm to 8pm. Although the event is free to attend, students and parents should register online for a place.
