The latest COVID-19 vaccination statistics (as at Sunday, 14 February) show that 2657 first doses have been given to clinically extremely vulnerable (high risk) Islanders meaning 78% of eligible Islanders in this group have received their first dose.

Islanders who are classed as clinically extremely vulnerable (high risk) aged 16-69, have been eligible to receive the vaccine since 6 February and 74% have received their first dose. Islanders 70+ are captured in their respective age groups.

In addition, as at Sunday 14 February:
  • 25,952 doses of the vaccine have been administered in total
  • 3,256 second doses have been administered
  • 80% of care home residents have received both doses
  • 98% of Islanders aged 80+ have received their first dose
  • 91% of Islanders aged 75-79 have received their first dose
  • 89% of Islanders aged 70-74 have received their first dose
  • 75% of Islanders aged 65-69 have received their first dose

Head of the COVID-19 vaccination programme, Becky Sherrington said: “The speed at which we are delivering the vaccination to the Island’s most vulnerable populations is a testament to the hard work of the staff delivering the vaccine, and the support of families, friends, and the community in getting Islanders to their appointments.

“We have seen fantastic take up of the vaccine from clinically extremely vulnerable (high risk) Islanders aged 16-69 years, more than 70% of this group receiving their first dose in the 12 days since bookings opened.”

Islanders can access the booking system online at www.gov.je/vaccine or call the helpline on 0800 735 5566 or 445566 to book an appointment.
