Assistant Minister for Children and Education, Deputy Scott Wickenden and Director of Education, Seán O'Regan, visited Rouge Bouillon School before the half-term break.
During their visit, on Wednesday, 26 May, they met with headteacher Russell Price and staff and students to discuss the school community, how staff have responded to COVID-19, and plans for updating some of the school's outdoors facilities.
Together, they visited the school's nursery, the recently refurbished outdoor play area, and the additional facilities that support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Deputy Wickenden, said: "It's been amazing to see more of the school, meet the staff and so many wonderful children, and be invited into their lessons.
"Throughout my visit, I was struck by the amazing work being done by dedicated staff, and how clearly their belief in the students shines through. I really appreciate the headteacher taking the time to give me a thorough tour and help me better understand the challenges the school is facing."
