The Government of Jersey has responded to the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (C&AG) latest Covid report, focusing on the procurement process and supply chain management.
The Government welcomes the report, which looks in particular at the procurement of ventilators, personal protective equipment (PPE), testing kits and the Nightingale Wing.
Responding to the report, the Minister for Treasury and Resources, Deputy Susie Pinel, said: “I’d like to thank the C&AG for her third report into the Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As the C&AG acknowledges, we had to respond at speed to the developing pandemic and are continuously assessing our actions, financially and operationally, to protect Islanders.”
The Government will now consider the report and its recommendations and will respond fully in due course.
