Households urged to take part in public health survey

15 September 2021

Households that were randomly selected in August to take part in a one-off Health, Activity and Wellbeing Survey will have until 30 September to complete the survey, following an extension to the deadline.

As at Tuesday 14 September, just over 10% of surveys have been submitted. Households that have not yet returned the survey are being encouraged to complete it in order to help shape future public health policies.

Questions cover health, diet, lifestyle, physical activity, wellbeing and volunteering, and aim to capture Islanders' experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Completed surveys will be entered into a prize draw to win £250.

Director of Public Health, Professor Peter Bradley, said: "We are extending the deadline for this survey to be completed in order to give more households the opportunity to respond. The survey is important as feedback will be used to help inform future public health policies and advise where investments in sports and exercise facilities should be made.

"We want to understand how Covid-19 has affected people's health and wellbeing so that we can work on recovery policies. This survey is a great chance for Islanders to have their say and make a difference, so I strongly encourage those households who have been randomly selected to please take twenty minutes out of your day to fill out the survey. I'd like to thank those who have completed the survey so far."
