Children are being asked to draw or describe what their dream water play area would look like as part of a consultation on the replacement of the Coronation Park pool. In addition, parents and other Coronation Park users are being asked for their views on how the pool could be renovated.
The online survey seeks ideas for the design of the pool, which has been closed due to a water leak. Everyone who is interested in its future can submit their views and primary school children are being encouraged to draw or describe what they would like to see in the water play area by filling in the ‘Design Your Dream Water Play’ worksheet.
Deputy Kevin Lewis, Minister for Infrastructure, said: “We would like to hear from all Islanders, especially youngsters on what they think the pool would look like in the future. We want to create a space that will be enjoyed by the whole community for years to come.
“The results of the survey will help us deliver a new and improved facility. Responses from the consultation will inform the design that will be included in the planning application.”
The consultation is available on
gov.je and closes on 29 March 2021.
