Following the appointment of Jenny Posner as the new headteacher of Samarès School, the Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills is delighted to announce the arrangements for the interim leadership of St Martin's School.
From January, the Headteacher of Trinity School, Katy McMahon, will take on the role as Leading Headteacher for both Trinity and St Martin's Primary School, until the headship is advertised and recruited to.
Karen Cooper, who is currently the Deputy Headteacher of St Martin's School, will take on the role as Head of School for St Martin's and Chris Godden, currently Deputy Headteacher at Trinity School, will take on the role as Head of School for Trinity.
Group Director of Education, Seán O' Regan said: "The two schools, St Martin's and Trinity, already share a curriculum model, frequently have shared training and have mentoring experience across the two schools. These arrangements build on a well-established partnership and will provide the best possible support to the children of both St Martin and Trinity Schools."
Mrs Posner will take up her new post in Samarès Primary School early in the New Year. Mrs Posner takes over from the current headteacher, Mike McDermott, who will retire at Christmas.
