Jersey's Mental Health Network is launching a new campaign aimed at helping Islanders with their mental wellbeing.
The 'Together, we're here for you' initiative will help Islanders of all ages with mild to moderate mental health needs understand where they can go for help.
A series of promotional activities will be rolled out to deliver mental health messages to people of all age groups. The campaign is being launched with a leaflet distributed to 40,000 households that signposts available services and encourages Islanders to seek help.
The initiative includes a video of Islanders sharing their mental health journey, digital advertising, a radio campaign, and social media messages to raise further awareness of the Mental Health Network.
A dedicated landing page on www.gov.je has been developed and lists all major mental health providers in the Island, so Islanders can easily search for the support they need and get it as quickly as possible.
Steve Bougeard, team lead at Jersey Talking Therapies and current chairman of the Mental Health Network, said: "Over the past 12 months, Islanders have reported increasing feelings of being over-whelmed, stressed or anxious and other mild to moderate mental health issues. It's important that Islanders act early by contacting one of the organisations in the Mental Health Network for help. Acting early really does make a difference to your overall mental wellbeing."
Deputy Richard Renouf, Minister for Health and Social Services, said: "I am delighted that this initiative has been launched. It's vital that Islanders are provided with comprehensive information about the mental health support on offer in Jersey, especially given the impact of COVID-19, and the Mental Health Network gives them this."
Deputy Trevor Pointon, Assistant Minister with responsibility for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), added: "Mental health and wellbeing affects all age groups, so it is fantastic to see this initiative include recognition of the support and advice for Children and Young people on the Island."
The campaign is being supported with a grant from the Jersey Community Foundation with funds from the Dormant Bank Accounts.

Grants from our Coronavirus Response Fund, which was established with funds from the Dormant Bank Accounts, are supporting projects aimed at Islanders' health, helping people to cope during and after the outbreak of COVID-19, and providing essential services to those most in need."
The Mental Health Network brings Jersey's mental health providers together to provide information, advice and support on all aspects of mental health. Member organisations work together, so whoever Islanders choose to contact, they make sure that Islanders get the help and support required by referring to other organisations if necessary.
