Commemorative coins issued to celebrate Royal British Legion centenary

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Royal British Legion, the Westminster Collection has launched a limited-edition range of coins.

 

Coin collections are proposed by the Westminster Collection, and approved by the Government of Jersey for their release.

 

The limited-edition collection includes:

  • A 50p coin with a modern Royal British Legion Poppy on the reverse
  • A 50p coin with a heritage Royal British Legion Poppy on the reverse
  • 50p coins which pay tribute to the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force

 

Minister for Treasury and Resources, Deputy Susie Pinel, said: "I welcome the issue of these coins, which celebrate the legacy of the Royal British Legion and the sacrifices of the Armed Forces. Their link between past and present make them particularly poignant."
