Islanders who are eligible for a COVID-19 Spring Booster are being reminded that the offer will expire on Thursday 30 June.
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) has released interim advice regarding an autumn booster programme. Therefore, to align with this programme, the Spring Booster programme will end on 30 June.
Since the launch of the programme, 75% of those eligible have taken up the offer of a booster.
Those that haven't yet had theirs are encouraged to book an appointment or walk into the vaccine centre.
Islanders who are eligible for the Spring Booster are those:
- Aged 75 and over
- Aged 12 and over and are immunosuppressed
- Who are residents in care homes for older adults
Head of the Vaccination Programme, Emma Baker, said: "Immunity from previous vaccinations wanes over time so it is vital to ensure your immunity levels are at their best through the summer months.
"The booster will not be offered over the summer, so I urge Islanders to book their appointment as soon as possible. Don't miss out and give yourself the best protection this summer."
Eligible Islanders can book their vaccine online at www.gov.je/vaccine or by calling the Coronavirus Helpline on 0800 735 5566.
