Reminder from Infrastructure and Environment’s veterinary team

28 December 2023

Due to ferry disruption, there are a number of pet owners waiting in France to travel to Jersey with dogs.

Before travelling to Jersey, dogs must be treated for tapeworm within 24 to 120 hours of their scheduled arrival. This should be recorded in their pet passport or animal health certificate. If your trip has been delayed, this may mean your dog needs to get a second treatment to be able to travel.

This does not apply to dogs travelling from the UK, Isle of Man, and other Channel Islands.
