Government signs Memorandum of Understanding with Rennes Business School

18 July 2024

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Jersey and Rennes Business School (RBS) which will give Islanders easier access to world-class education and development.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Government of Jersey by the Minister for Sustainable Economic Development, Deputy Kirsten Morel, alongside the Rennes Business School Dean and General Director, Adilson Bourgs.

The agreement is expected to lead to greater opportunities for executive business education for those already in business, and to support students who would like to study RBS' undergraduate degrees taught in English.

RBS, ranked by the Financial Times as one of world's top 100 schools for custom programmes, has already been represented at Jersey's Higher Education Fair.

Deptuy Morel said: “I am confident that this MoU will both strengthen our links with France and enable our business community to access training, which should help them to operate more productively and profitably. This will benefit the Island as a whole.

“I'm looking forward to students from Jersey studying at the school, where they will receive a world-class business education in English."

The Minister also visited Collège Moka in St Malo, where the Jersey artist Kiera Melville was selected to provide artistic sessions to pupils throughout April and May this year. An exhibition of children's drawings is currently being displayed at the secondary school in St Malo.
