Islanders will be able to get their COVID Autumn Booster and Flu vaccines from Monday 7 October.
The vaccines will be administered by GPs across the Island and Islanders who are eligible for both
vaccines will be able to receive them at the same time. Flu vaccines will also be available from
pharmacies.
The following groups are eligible for both the COVID Autumn Booster and the Flu vaccine:
- Aged 65+
- In a clinical risk group including pregnant women
- Health care workers
- Care home residents
The following groups are eligible for the Flu vaccine only:
- Islanders aged 50-64
- Islanders living with certain health conditions
- Children aged 2 to school year 11
- Household contacts of those who are immunosuppressed
Islanders are encouraged to book their free vaccines by calling the doctor's surgery for an
appointment. Community pharmacists will be visiting care homes over the coming weeks to offer
vaccination to residents.
