A two-week amnesty starts next week to enable people who have equipment such as
crutches, commodes or shower stools to return them to Health and Community Services.
The amnesty will run from 2 December until 13 December. Islanders are asked to take
any items to the main reception of the Enid Quenault Health and Wellbeing Centre,
Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm.
If someone has large pieces of equipment or several items that need to be returned,
please contact the Occupational Therapy team on 443013 to arrange for them to be picked
up.
Once returned, the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams will be able to assess
the items and valet them so they can be re-used. Items that are brought back to HCS need
to be in a good condition. Any equipment that has rust or wear and tear should be disposed
of in the appropriate area at La Collette.
