03 January 2024
Work to resurface parts of Green Street and Mount Bingham starts on Monday (8 January).
The project will take approximately five weeks to complete, with the Green Street work being done first. Green Street will be closed from Monday morning (7.30am) until Friday evening (8pm) – businesses are open as usual and access to premises is maintained, where possible.
During the resurfacing of sections on Mount Bingham, starting later in the month, there will be a temporary reversal of traffic direction on South Hill in the mornings (6am-10am) to give Islanders easier access to Pier Road Car Park.
The two roads (Mount Bingham and Green Street) will not be closed off at the same time as each other.
Diversions will be in place, and Islanders travelling to or through this part of St Helier are encouraged to allow more time for their journeys, where possible.
More information, including more detail about working hours and diversions, is available on www.gov.je/roadworks
