Hautlieu School has been reviewed as part of the Jersey Schools Review Framework (JSRF). The
report is available to download here.
The review team was led by an experienced off-Island reviewer and consisted of a total of eight
reviewers. The school was visited between 23 to 25 April.
During the review, the team considered information about students’ attainment and progress,
visited lessons across the curriculum, and scrutinised a representative sample of work. They met
with senior and middle leaders, non-teaching staff and members of the governing body, as well as
with groups of students in both key stages. Documentation including curriculum planning was
considered and arrangements for safeguarding were reviewed.
Headteacher of Hautlieu School, Nick Falle said: "I am delighted that the review focused on and
celebrated our students, recognising their development into diligent, articulate and confident
young adults.
“I am also pleased the review team commented on the exceptional care and nurture students
receive at Hautlieu, as well as the impressive subject knowledge and commitment of teachers who
challenge their students to achieve, whilst ensuring they maintain excellent relationships in the
classroom. I am lucky to work with a staff team who are committed to keep improving the school
and I would like to thank them all for their dedication to our school community.
“I’d also like to thank the review team for their professional and rigorous review, which highlighted
many of the things that make Hautlieu special, and I look forward to building on their considered
recommendations.”
