Les Quennevais School has been reviewed as part of the Jersey Schools Review Framework.

The review team was led by an experienced off-Island reviewer and consisted of a total of seven
reviewers. The school was visited between 23 to 25 April.
Reviewers observed teaching and learning, scrutinised samples of work, and met with pupils from
each year group and the school council. The views of staff and parents were considered through
surveys that were conducted by the school specifically for this review. Additionally, discussions were
also held with members of the governing body, senior and middle leaders, and other staff, and the
team examined a range of documentation including behaviour and safeguarding records.
Headteacher of Les Quennevais School, Sarah Hague said: “I am extremely proud that the review has
recognised the high-quality provision that our vision for learning at Les Quennevais School delivers,
alongside the strong expertise of our staff to ensure our students are not only aspirational and
ambitious learners, but also caring, thoughtful and respectful young people.
“I am delighted that the review has emphasised the consistent high-quality of teaching across the
school and has commended our vast and varied enrichment programme, as well as the drive by
leaders to develop a rich and challenging tailored provision for students with additional needs.
“I would like to thank every member of staff at Les Quennevais School for embracing the values of
our school, and their commitment, and dedication to making it a thriving and inspiring place for
young people to be. We have high expectations of ourselves and to have our collective endeavour
recognised and celebrated so strongly in the review is recognition of the huge effort that occurs here
on a daily basis to ensure our students receive the best outcomes and experience possible, which is
what every one of them deserves.
